The 18 day difference !

he he...That's for you to decide. So do you see a difference in this picture? This was just another casual shot of me before going clubbing a week ago.Of course my wardrobe's hanged a bit.My tummy feels a little packed some fat off my cheeks and I feel a little tired overall. But all in all a good feeling cause I've eating lesser and running a lot more. The Final Verdict - Is it all in the mind? Not really, I feel lighter and have actually lost a few pounds.

My Dietician from the US.

I finally found someone giving me dieting tips from the US. Yes she is well qualified in this field and here's what she had to share with me. She is none other than Agnita, a friend I made when we met at the Bangalore Fashion Week. She just needed a picture and ever since we have come a long way as she is almost as good as my fitness trainer now :)(Talk about meeting the right person at the right time). We first started off with a schedule for me. In there were a list of things I was supposed to eat and drink on a weekly basis.Sunday was my "day off". Am trying to convert this into an image file so that each of you can see it.

Out of sight is out of mind!

Come Saturday afternoon and I could smell the hot dhal'rice and gojju in the kitchen. It was 4 days since I had started eating right, meaning no more rice and other fatty items. The wheat bread and egg white sandwiches with pepper were too dry and boring. The final decision whether to eat all this was mine. After literally 'weighing out my options' I decided to eat rice but within limits so as to avoid any craving at a later stage which would put my entire regimen to shame.I remembered the previous day when i avoided some good looking so called unhealthy food and later when I was away from it, I totally forgot about it and didn't really have that dying urge to eat it.so i decided I'll eat little potions of the sumptuous meal my mom had prepared. So the key was to eat right.I server myself small portions of Of whatever my mom had prepared.

Eating Healthy

That was some response I got for this blog. So here is the latest update. I'm just trying everything to achieve this. I got varied responses on what I will need to eat. A friend offered to give me her left over Green Tea bags. Wheat Rusk is also light and fat free. I could not resist eating all this when others were feasting on Biriyani. I still had 3 glasses of tasteless Green Tea. But if that helps why not. I had a really long jog this morning totalling 4 kilometers. I could not sweat since the weather outside was quite cold. I intend to play basketball tomorrow since that is good fun and also doubles up as exercise too. A fruit bowl in the afternoon also helped keep my stamina up. I've kept a deadline of 3 months to reduce my weight and will pick up a weighing scale to monitor the improvements over time. Will be blogging again tomorrow.

What inspired me ?

I'm 28 and have for most of my life been on the plumper side. I have not been obese though. And so, I felt that I had to do something to feel lighter and slimmer and younger. Everybody around me that did and did not matter to me did think that I must be at least 35. This got me inspired to try out something new. Being a photographer myself, I thought I'd see to what extent I could make myself look better slimmer and smarter using my photography skills. I set up the lights got my friend to do a shoot for me. We tried a lot of lighting styles. But the best of the shots still resulted in me looking quite fat. I decided, "That was it, I have to reduce". Moreover having this uncle like look and a complimentary belly would not be the best thing to flaunt.I needed a change, and badly too.And so I took the plunge. I had college kids calling me uncle and my cabbie convincing me that it was time I settled down in life and the local street chat guy re -onfirming that I was "Atleast 35 and married". Not to forget my little neighbor Raksha stating that Arvind anna doesn't look like how he did before(not that I was a dude 'er something back then)

The whole idea of putting up this blog was to make sure that I would have the world keep a watch on me. During all my previous attempts to lose weight, I either stopped half way or had already gained what I needed in life through weight reduction. This time there was just no looking back. I also registered on runnersforlife.com and was the only member from Sanjayanagar. Three months is my first milestone and 6 months, the next.
